Crew Club

This has been a big year for UR Crew! Our Men's 4+ and Men's 2x raced at the Occoquan Challenge in October, and the men walked away with a gold medal! Later in the month, our Men's 8+ and Women's 4+ competed in VCU's Richmond Chase here on our home river. The men placed 4th in the Varsity competition, and the women claimed a very strong third place. We also hosted Clough Cup, our annual alumni vs. student race, to end off a great season on the water.

As we start conditioning for next season, we have big plans and need your help. Our team is currently finalizing the purchase of two new shells, an 8+ and a 4+, to support our growing team and enhance our competitive capacity. With these new shells, we plan to travel to North Carolina for the North Carolina Rowing Championships, as well as the Mid Atlantic Collegiate Crew Championships here in Virginia. Finally, we plan to move into a new boathouse by the end of the summer, one in better condition and which more closely matches our competitive needs.
