Gifts to Baseball Club contribute to...
Club Baseball at the University of Richmond is a well-organized and successful competitive athletic organization. Passionately led by senior Grayson Charlton, junior Aveer Pandey, and sophomore Michael Rideout, the program has over 40 active members and takes part in regular practices and games against schools in Virginia, DC, and the surrounding areas. Last spring, in the team's first official season as a part of the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA), they held a record of 7-3 in conference and reached the Regional Playoffs in Martinsville, Virginia. After battling two of the top 4 teams in the country, the Spiders fell short in the championship game by two runs.
This year, after a successful showing in the fall season, the Spiders are once again looking to make a push towards the playoffs this spring. Our goal as a team is to play the toughest competition possible to best prepare us for the regional gauntlet. In addition to our league games, we have great opportunities this spring, including the chance to play NCBA #2 VCU as well as last year’s NCBA #1 Wake Forest in a round robin tournament. However, these games require funding to pay umpires and field costs. We would greatly appreciate any support toward our program as we work to build on last season’s success! All funding would directly help us grow the club and ensure we are able to get on the field and compete at the highest level. Go Spiders!
